FAQs

What insurances do you accept?

We’re happy to work with most major insurance plans! If your plan includes orthodontic benefits, it can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs. Many policies offer a lifetime orthodontic benefit that’s separate from regular dental coverage.

Because every plan is different, our team will gladly review your insurance before treatment begins and help you understand your benefits. Once treatment starts, we’ll take care of filing your claims for you.

Do you offer payment options?

Absolutely! At Thrive Orthodontics, our goal is to make high-quality care accessible and affordable for every family. We offer flexible payment options to fit your budget — without compromising on your care.

We accept:

  • FSA/HSA cards

  • CareCredit

  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover

  • Debit cards, PayPal

  • And offer monthly payment plans with Autopay enrollment for your convenience

Our team is happy to walk you through the options and find a plan that works best for your needs.

How often will i have to come in?

Appointments are scheduled according to each patient’s needs. Most patients in braces will be seen every 6 to 8 weeks. If there are specific situations that require more frequent monitoring, we will schedule appointments accordingly.

At what age should my child see an orthodontist?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic screening at age 7. By this age, most kids have a mix of baby and permanent teeth, which gives us a great opportunity to check how their bite and jaw are developing.

Early screenings don’t always mean early treatment — but they help us spot potential issues early, like crowding, crossbites, or jaw growth concerns. It’s a great way to plan ahead and give your child the best chance at a healthy, confident smile.

How long do I need to wear my retainers?

We recommend wearing your retainers for life — because teeth never stop shifting! Right after treatment, you’ll wear them full-time for a year and that, every night for life.

Think of retainers as a long-term investment in your smile — just like wearing a seatbelt to protect what you’ve worked hard for!
